For me, as a practicing Muslim, it would have to be praying Fajr (dawn prayer) with my wife.
The feeling of having her beside me, submitting to our Creator and Sustainer, is so calming and reassuring. It reaffirms for me that we’re truly in this together – and that’s priceless.
I’ve been married four times before, and even though most were Muslim women, I never really found this. Things were okay, but this missing ritual left an enormous void which made me question our future. The fact that they’re the past should tell you something.
My current wife and I have been married longer than any of my earlier relationships. We are still going strong. Maa Shaa’ Allaah (what Allaah’s willed).
That’s my one little thing, which isn’t so little to me.
